2026 Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting
The Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026. Below, we’ve provided a guide to attending the annual meeting and details on how you can participate in the events hosted by The Investor’s Podcast Network.
WHO ARE WE?
HOW TO GET CREDENTIALS?
To attend the meeting in Omaha, you must obtain official meeting credentials (also called “shareholder passes” or “badges”). These badges grant you access to the main meeting, the exhibit hall, and many shareholder-only events across the weekend.
Step 1: Become a Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder
You need to own at least one share of Berkshire Hathaway stock — either Class A (BRK.A) or Class B (BRK.B). A single Class B share is sufficient to qualify. You can purchase shares through any standard brokerage account.
Once your shares are recorded in your name or with your broker, you’ll be eligible to request meeting credentials when the form becomes available in the spring.
Step 2: Request Your Shareholder Credentials
Each year, Berkshire Hathaway mails its Annual Report, Proxy Statement, and Credential Request Form to shareholders in mid-March. The form includes instructions for ordering up to four meeting credentials per shareholder.
If your shares are held through a brokerage, you’ll typically receive these materials electronically or by mail from your broker rather than directly from Berkshire Hathaway. Follow your broker’s instructions to access or request the form.
You can submit your credential request online or by mail, depending on the directions provided in that year’s materials.
Step 3: Receiving Your Passes
If you request credentials before the deadline, they’ll usually be mailed to you in April.
Step 4: Onsite Pickup (if you don’t receive them in time)
If you don’t receive your passes before traveling, you can pick them up at the Shareholder Will-Call Center in Omaha during meeting week. Bring:
- A photo ID, and
- Proof of ownership (such as a brokerage statement showing your BRK.A or BRK.B shares).
You’ll then receive your printed badges on site.
Step 5: Using Your Credentials
Your badge gives you access to:
- The main meeting (including the Q&A session),
- The exhibit hall showcasing Berkshire-owned businesses, and
- Various shareholder shopping events and partner discounts throughout Omaha.
*Please note that The Investor’s Podcast Network does NOT give away credentials. Please visit Berkshire Hathaway’s website for more information related to requesting credentials for the meeting.
